Workshop Trainings: SH*T You Really Need to Know
In the first phase of this work the team designed a training workshop for Nova Scotia public servants called “The Sh*t you really need to know”.
This training was developed by the Let's Care Collective to offer real stories of living in care to folks who are working in the system. The members of our team share stories of coming into care, leaving care, issues of culture and identity, connection and disconnection from family and community as well as practical advice to social workers and other adults who are impacting youth in care. The format for the workshop includes a check in, listening to stories and reflection groups.

Consultation Sessions
The LET'S CARE COLLECTIVE has provided direct consultations to groups who are looking to engage with first voice in the design or creation of their programs or change initiatives.
In preparation for these sessions the team meets to talk through the questions from the client about their project or initiative. The LET'S CARE COLLECTIVE then designs a session to offer input and feedback pertaining to their questions.
These sessions include a check in, hearing insights from lived experience and an opportunity for discussion.
